Jesus, I haven't had to ban anyone around here in over a month, but the some people lately must WANT to be banned.

1. Start spam threads OVER and OVER again (MikeySpermberg)

2. Make posts "see sig" (pimpdog)

3. Ignore the sig rules and START A THREAD bitching about how we deleted your sig. (LUCL0NELY)

4. Start a thread (asking people to hack an IP), and when we lock the thread. POST THE SAME THREAD again (LUCL0NELY)

He said it wasn't the thread so much. It was the same thread OVER and OVER again. People hide behind good causes to break rules. A lot of other people saw them too and thought "Hey, it's ok to post threads with our domain names for sale" and then started to do that too. Maybe the place could use a Spam / Sale / Trade folder to keep them all out of the main conversation folder.

It still was for a very fucking good cause without having any
benefit for him itself. There are so many same threads on GFY
just do a search. Sleazy´s "Elite" Parties. Fly is a genius.
Boneprone threads, Ibill threads, Hosting threads....etc, etc.

Mikey was fighting for a good cause that deserves respect. NOT
a ban....

Why couldn't someone fire off an email saying "that's enough"? Sure there were some replies with pictures of atom bombs going off, but we give that kind of treatment to newbies that are just saying hello.

I hear what you are saying, but if that's the case, should I be able to start 5 or 10 or 100 simultaneous threads for whatever my good cause of the day is? Maybe something encouraging people to give blood or donate to ________ charity?

That's an extreme example, of course, but a line needs to be drawn somewhere. There are rules for a reason, and people shouldn't be able to ignore them simply because something is "for a good cause."

I honestly believe DankCash et al were abusing the board and some, if not all, of them should be banned. It's my opinion and I'm sticking by it, unlike people who ride the bash train (i.e. you) and flip-flop depending on who they happen to like today.

Don't think he's going to get banned, but I do agree on that. At the very least there should be some sort of standard about deceptive contests/giveaways on the board.
