4 Easy ways to be banned from GFY
 

Jesus, I haven't had to ban anyone around here in over a month, but the some people lately must WANT to be banned.

1. Start spam threads OVER and OVER again (MikeySpermberg)

2. Make posts "see sig" (pimpdog)

3. Ignore the sig rules and START A THREAD bitching about how we deleted your sig. (LUCL0NELY)

4. Start a thread (asking people to hack an IP), and when we lock the thread. POST THE SAME THREAD again (LUCL0NELY)

5. Make tons of fake aliases and post via proxy as members/supporters of DankCash (too many to list)

MikeySpermberg wasn´t spamming he was raising money for a very good
cause Lens.....dig up that thread and make a donation like many
of us already did. There was no benefit for him in anything at all

He said it wasn't the thread so much. It was the same thread OVER and OVER again. People hide behind good causes to break rules. A lot of other people saw them too and thought "Hey, it's ok to post threads with our domain names for sale" and then started to do that too. Maybe the place could use a Spam / Sale / Trade folder to keep them all out of the main conversation folder.

I hear what you are saying, but if that's the case, should I be able to start 5 or 10 or 100 simultaneous threads for whatever my good cause of the day is? Maybe something encouraging people to give blood or donate to ________ charity?

That's an extreme example, of course, but a line needs to be drawn somewhere. There are rules for a reason, and people shouldn't be able to ignore them simply because something is "for a good cause."

Think about it.

And anyone else who I have negative opinions on. People I like, I say positive things about. For you to get this riled up about DankCash tells me a lot about where your business ethics lie.

I honestly believe DankCash et al were abusing the board and some, if not all, of them should be banned. It's my opinion and I'm sticking by it, unlike people who ride the bash train (i.e. you) and flip-flop depending on who they happen to like today.

You history shows that you continuously let out cheap shots against companies wherever you can (in off-topic threads). Others have called you on it REPEATEDLY as well & have asked you kindly (as I am now) to just STFU about dank cash already -- we heard your opinion of them.

If you want to continually bash a person or a company at least have the balls and "business ethics" to do it somewhere that they might see it and have a chance to reply to it.

Don't think he's going to get banned, but I do agree on that. At the very least there should be some sort of standard about deceptive contests/giveaways on the board.
