In the past few days I have tried to sign up to a few new sponsors, however these guys will have to miss out as they cannot send me email!

Why is this ? It seems that candidhosting is blocked on a whole bunch of SPAM blacklists and many spam blocking solutions will prevent email arriving from known spam sources.

What I want to know is whether anyone using spam prevention tools such as RDNS blacklists is missing out on mail they should otherwise get ?

Are any people using candidhosting having trouble sending email to some places ?

Also, when is candidhosting going to clean up it's act and get out of these blacklists ?

i've been with Candid for over 3 years. kick ass fucking host. don't use email with them though so can't comment on that...

Yes, I have a server there.

Yes, I get plenty of spam emails.

Yes, I get a thousand virus emails a day too.

Before I signed with them I did various net searches to see what I could find out about them, it seems they are regarded as an excellent host but anti-spam organisations complain about them. I know that my own ISP blocks them but my web based email account receives their mail.

Well I have some servers with Candidhosting fantastic bandwidth, great host. I have email there also but only POP (incoming) they don't allow outgoing (SMTP).

Maybe they got done for spamming in the past but now don't allow it. Who knows???
