To anyone who?s going to open a new site soon, or who just opened one?I am just wondering what you do when it comes to the domain names. Thouse things are hard to find. How much does a good short domain name go for? Howd you get yours? Is it worth having a short domain name (bifty.com) that means nothing ? or a longer one like blahsexstuff.com that has the word sex in there or something? Im just curious as to what my other domain names should be when I start my first pay site.

I didnt mean to come across as not knowing anything. I was just wondering what everyone else really thought on the subject of a short and easy domain - or maybe a longer more relavent (sp) one.

There are still many good short two word adult type domains left. Spend a few hours this weekend checking expired lists for ideas. Or make a list of words in your niche and start checking by combining the words with adjectives & verbs. You might be surprised what's available. It is pointless to get a domain name that means nothing because it is short unless you know how to generate high traffic on a consistent basis. Or you have enough experience and money to "brand" the word yourself.
