On accident I realized changing the logo made a big difference.

The old logo:

New logo:

Just this little change has improved our sign ups over 20% in the last two days.since we have done it. I also notice more traffic maybe because of the new sign ups.

I wouldn't necessarily give that much credit to the change in logo for your improved signup ratio. Google has been going through a major update the last few days. Have your search engine rankings or traffic levels changed?
