I also don't find the 60,000 number hard to believe. Had images from some galleries I made hotlinked by Chinese several years ago and it was brutal. They were all hotlinked simultaneously across hundreds of different Chinese image/movie sharing porn forums. The amount of hits was insane, so I can only imagine the amount of traffic those sites were getting. Worthless traffic unfortunately, though they had Chinese ads up so I guess not worthless for them.

Had I not blocked Chinese traffic a while back, I'd be sighing a big sigh of relief over this.

I've had galleries linked from some Chinese forums.. galleries hosted on small, shared servers.. sites that I had no intention of being "big".. and had a very surprising bill at the end of those cycles.
