How Many of you Adult Webmasters push Mainstream as well?

As Adult is hurting these days, how many of you have begun to try or have been trying mainstream offers for a while??

with herbals it's always been borderline mainstream.

It just blows my mind how low mainstream programs pay out

i have started last year local mainstream, and for year i made profit that is equal to 6 months of profit in adult, so basically i am very happy with it, just going to expand more on other world-wide things. . . it looks like it's taking of pretty good!

I figure most would be interested in at least trying it out considering todays adult environment. Agreed mainstream seems to pay much lower but I think you will see more adult programs switching to lower payouts as well.

I stopped doing anything in adult about one and a half year ago. I am not investing a single minute or $ into adult anymore. All mainstream. And I am doing FUCKING GREAT.

maintream rocks... most adult webmasters have no idea tho, how to start in mainstream, becaue they are used to the automatic copy cat process of generating traffic..

I do adsense blogs, not big success so far, but I've learnt a lot this year so in 2011 I'm sure I will start to make some more interesting money.

I wish them luck in finding adult affiliates then because unless we're talking PPS and they plan on getting rid of hidden x-sales and the other crap I can't see affiliates tolerating it. I doubt any affiliate will be foolish enough to tolerate lower revshare.

I plan on doing more mainstream in 2011 but to be honest many top adult companies have totally burned their bridges with me over the years. Not only wouldn't I sign up for their programs but I'll make every effort to avoid them. On the other hand for the good ones who have paid me for years and ran a fair program right up to the end, I'll run not walk to nearly anything mainstream they offer.

There are a ton of extremely talented individuals in the adult industry that would kill it in mainstream if they looked at it from a business operation/owner perspective..not as an affiliate. If you know how to drive internet traffic and sales you should be doing it for yourself, not someone else, right? That's the trend that we've seen happen in our industry with the affiliate model.

Definitely agree. It's traditionally been easier just to settle in as an affiliate since the terms were attractive and it avoided a lot of hassles. The overall terms aren't as attractive now. The main issue against it is that there is more risk and it also tends to mean a more narrow focus than what is possible as an affiliate.
