those people have already been paid from the PRODUCTION budget (unless they have back end points on the deal)

the grunts working on the movie have already been paid

the producers are the ones who are going to get paid. That being said i agree with you on the issue of having enough honor to not take the movie just because you were ripped off by epassporte. Sue epassporte, don't rip off this production company.

but don't kid yourself into believing it has anything to do with protecting the little guy on the movie set, they have already been paid, so you don't hurt them one bit by pirating the movie.

bullshit over all movie production is up if you include all the crowdfunded productions

over all more people are working now than before

the money is being lost by the big production companies.

The lie told by these companies is that if they lose their profits, nothing will ever get produced again. The problem is that lie doesn't even make sense since these companies take 3/4 to 4/5 of the gross out of the production budget as their "profits" and "expenses".
