looks like alertpay just fucked me...

...or is about to.

I accepted some money on the service first time ever from a client. After having ALOT of trouble recieving the funds to begin with since their retarded request money feature doesn't work properly (it's really an invitation to alertpay, not like paypals request money feature). We finally got the payment through and I tried to wire out 2 days ago. Now, after I already went through thier whole business verification (which took 2 weeks to begin with), they want me to do some website verification despite me not selling anything or accepting any billing on any website. I cannot answer half the questions on the form because they do not apply to my business since I am not doing any payments at the website itself.

It says directly on thier site:
"Website Review is not necessary if you only want to receive credit card payments through Send Money. "

They canceled and declined my bank transfers (this also means that they take 2 days to even send out the transfer) and now the money is stuck in there and I probably get to wait another fucking 2 weeks for thier hurting ass support to respond to me, probably telling me something useless and still not sending the money.

Avoid this two-bit bullshit company at all costs. I think I'm going to take the easy way out and ask the customer to do a chargeback against AlertPay and figure out some other way to pay me.

Business verification?
do you have personal or business account?
and what does their TOS says regarding the matter?
also what's the reason of wire transfer decline?

I'm curious because I was going to use their services someday, just trying to count the risks

Business account. Thier TOS doesn't say anything about it really. Loss prevention department hit me up, probably because I transfered money out immediately after recieving it (i'm not going to keep money in psuedo-banks after teh whole epass thing). Generally speaking, even before this they seemed like a two-bit company. Their phones didn't work when I phoned before (high call volume then it hangs up on you), their doc verification took 2 weeks and i had to attempt it like 20 times before i even got their website to accept my upload.

Ill phone them again when they open but I doubt i'll get through.

I know I posted in your last AlertPay thread offering advice. Since then I've had fuck arounds with AlertPay too. First wire took weeks and weeks to show up, they keep declining my websites (after taking weeks and weeks to review) for silly reasons. Not impressed with them at all.

Phone support (that is getting through to someone) is actually one of the only things I've been satisfied with from them. But I've rang them multiple times, regarding site reviews, and they often promise something that they don't deliver on.

Yes i heard their business account registration is problematic, which is why i am on personal pro to avoid hassle with it,but i am sure it take less steps then for example what used to be required to open business account on epass

Not sure if this has anything to do with them having issues but....

http://www.montrealgazette.com/Share...549/story.html

A South Shore man has seized the assets of local Internet payment company AlertPay Inc., and plans to sell the CEO's shares in the company next week.

"If you think that AlertPay is owned by Firoz Patel, that could change next week," said Sylvain Racette, the lawyer for Patrick Masse, who lives in St. Paul d'Abbotsford.

According to Masse's claim in court, he gave AlertPay $979,000 to invest in a European bank account. AlertPay was supposed to forward the money to the Credit Suisse account, so that Masse could invest it.

Masse claims Patel used his money to invest in a company based in Mexico called Air Temp North America. When Masse asked for his money back, he was told that it was frozen, and Patel didn't have access to it, Racette said.

Last year, Racette seized AlertPay and Patel's assets, including his car his house, and several bank accounts.

In a later agreement, Patel said he would pay $300,000 to stop the seizure, which was made before a judgment on the case could be rendered.

Patel said Masse's claims are bogus, and he followed the letter of their agreement exactly. He said it was Masse's idea to invest in Air Temp, and he even received money back from his investment.

Patel is counter-suing, claiming Masse is abusing the legal system for his benefit.

"He invested in a company that manufactured air conditioning units for cars," Patel said. "When the auto sector collapsed, the company stopped receiving orders and the money dried up. He panicked."

Patel explained he signed the promise to pay $300,000 even though he knew that he did nothing wrong. However, when Patel appealed, his claim was rejected. He said he will be vindicated when the case goes to court in June, 2012.

Patel's shares in AlertPay will be sold in an auction on Dec. 1, Racette said. A legal notice to this effect was published in the Journal de Montreal Oct. 31.

I use bank wires or pay pal. The other options are not "seasoned" enough for my taste.

I probably wont ever use anybody else but paypal again though... That "don't keep money with us for long, we're not a bank" shit doesn't work when shit hits the fan right after a payment and before anybody has a chance to withdraw... like what happened to me with epass.

Amazingly, they released the funds. I phoned, was told to send an email and in 3 business days they would reply. A few minutes later someone emailed me saying they emailed the sender of the funds for confirmation of their order and released the funds afterwards. So i guess I jumped the gun, but that fucking stressed me out and I doubt i'll be using them again unless its the only possible way to receive payment. My guess is I caught the chick I spoke to on a good day and she expodited it. It took a very long time to get ANYTHING from them always.

I guess im spoiled by the instantness of epass and paypal. Now we'll see if the wire arrives lol, someone else mentioned that it took weeks. The fees are also substancially higher then pp
