Help Me Please - Anyone?

Where to begin.... So I've owned this site Groovybus.com for a few years now - just can't seem to take things to the next level. What is it I need folks? This is what I have going.... Approx 1000-1200 hits a day, approx 30% returning traffic - the bulk of each day's traffic is from search engines. For the traffic I do get - I make about $400-500 a month from sponsors. I work full time as a line cook, and use most of my extra revenue on the family.
So advertising is something that my budget is very limited on. If I do spend some - I need direct hits from a banner I would think, popunder traffic just has never done anything for me. Do I need a traffic trade script? How would that work anyways... I really don't have a lot of traffic to trade. Or do I? Is there anyone here that perhaps has the expertise to throw a little guidance my way? I don't want to sound like a pussy - but I'm sick and tired of working my ass off for $10.00 an hour slinging food all day - fuck, my bloodpressure has gone up 4 points in 3 months. I just want my site to reach 10,000-15,000 hits a day and pump a solid $3000 a month in my direction. It's got to be possible.... Anyone got any productive traffic space available for sale? I've gotton some hardlink trades from this board in the past... open to new ones - and I keep them up. any comments?

Well, you need productive traffic. I'm sending you about 37 uniques a day and only getting 2 from you. If you can boost what you send me, I can send you more.

I guess that's where my problem lies... I only have so much traffic... I do not want to blind link viewers out - I don't believe in that. I'll relink your sites in a higher visable spot and see if that helps - but there isn't any way I can possibly return what i'm getting... I'm sure you get 100 times the traffic I do. You got anymore sites to trade with? I always see hits from collegesucks and ratenudecoeds... I feel comfortable with highlighting those links a bit more

There Joe - I moved your links WAY up... I would guess they'll probably get 30-50 hits a day now.... let me know if this is accurate. I am definatly interested in watching things closely and making things work.

Outside of a few link trades and some traffic from search engines....what other activities have you done to drive traffic to your site?

Have you built other sites, galleries, done submitting, etc, etc...what else are you already doing?

I think PMGames is on the right track of questions. You need more ways to bleed traffic to your site it seems. Free sites would probably help and seeing that you're promoting only reality sites, getting free content promoting those specific sites will be easy. The Free Sites will also probably help with your SE traffic.

I have a couple other domains, but the main one is Groovybus. I have done gallery submitting, I've put together a few hundred AVS sites in the past on domains that are now expired (had to spend some time out of the loop for over a year) family stuff - work all that shit. and lost track of renewals on them OH WELL.... anyways, been back at it for about a year now and gotton from about 300 hits a day to where I am now.
I've bought links on Gregpix several times - bought popunder traffic from Carlos at Sexzity, thinking about buying a subscription to submit to bangthumbs.... but all this hasn't done much for promoting groovybus and steadying traffic there. Gallery traffic seems to be Great the first day (if ya get listed), time consuming (which I'm limited on working full time) and sometimes not productive at all. So now I have quite an archive of free content which costs me little to run. I want to get traffic there because conversions are not bad really. One thing I havn't done is made many "free sites" like the little avs sites. I dunno... What do you do PMgames? any ideas?

I have a lot of pages on the site.... many of them have spidered into search engines.... infact I get a lot of targeted keyword hits from yahoo and google to site name specific matches (cool, because it's what they're looking for).
maybe i'll try some free sites like you say... now, where would you go to list them if you were in my position? Any good spots you can think of?
