Time to set some standards here?

Fellow trade master - when did YOU last try this:

Signing up for a serious trade at a site that seems serious, it has serious trades on the toplist - and then you send traffic for a couple of days, just to discover what?

    - Nothing in return, zip, nada.

Can someone please tell me why appx. 1 out of 20 new trades established via this thread at GFY has an average lifetime of 24-48 hours??

For serious traders, is it generally just a WASTE of precious time looking for new partners at GFY, or am I just missing something out here? Enlighten me please, if you can.

    Sincerely

Some trades work others don't however it always helps to contact the person you trade with. Make sure they acknowledge your trade and are doing the best to make sure it works for you both. Just my thoughts.

And they are some good, healthy thoughts too!

        Thanks for that objective answer.
I rarely engage a new trade nowadays without ensuring attention on the other side - and I guess, good ethics and gentlemanship are generally belonging to the good old days of the past...

Auto signup trade scripts don't get my trust any longer.

Yeah, like this: "Sign up and force at least 500" to show that you're serious... and thank you for the trade!

        Or this one:
Minimum trade 1000 uniques per day, you must force to get the trade started - and after that....
        Nada.

Lately I've jumped on that horse a few times too many.
And I just feel sad about the standards getting worse over the past years.

How about a closed forum here only for appointed, reccomended trade masters?

OK, I may have misunderstood your quick reply...

          - If you don't know a guy signing up for a new trade, then you just screw him because you won't get your reputation hurt, if no one else knows that guy?

Not my way of life, and hopefully not the general standards around this GFY trade forum, or is it perhaps just so?
