What is the best to use to start a tgp or mgp?

what are you looking for? thumb or text script? And what do you mean with "cheap". How much do you want to pay for that script?

I was searching a while back and notice that almost everyone was using "brownie", I guess it would be thumb.

I am using for something that requires very low maintainence.

autogallery is good aptgp kicks ass and its only $55

Yup. The new Autogallery SQL is quite a nice program and it dirt cheap.
If you have a few bucks check out Comus Thumbs.

free is not always best, get Autogallery it's reasonable, but Comus is the best

I just set up a script from apscripts it's a thumbnail script. Its pretty good, you can add bulk galleries, harvest galleries, customize anything. With these options you really don't even need to accept submissions if you don't want to. The price is $55.00 and definetely worth it.
