XML Feeds

I am suprised that more gallery makers don't use simpler layouts, or have RSS/XML feeds for allowing TGPs to get their galleries. I've got a TGP coming out and am looking for all of the clean galleries I can get my hands on, but some gallery makers make it so difficult to get their galleries that it just isn't worth the time.

Some suggestions to all gallery makers out there:

1)Offer a XML or RSS feed to allow those webmasters who can work with them to easily get your galleries. Don't know how to make these feeds, have a look on google, it isn't tough

2)Give a plain text document with the information piped or comma seperated. Include niche, number of pics, url and description. Add a date if possible, which makes it easier to grab only the new ones. You can make these in MS Excel or similar program, isn't tough.


With so many gallery makers and TGP owners out there, you would think that we would have this working together thing down by now.

why not use a php and mysql feed? Wouldnt that be even easyer?

That is how they will eventually be stored and displayed. But retrieving the galleries from the makers is unnecessarily difficult. Considering how much farther advanced the adult industry is in so many areas compared to mainstream markets, it astonishes me that the distribution of content in flexible and meaningful ways is still in the prehistoric stages.

I can get news, jobs, products and a myriad of other content through standardized easy to access and manipulate formats, but it is virtually impossible to do the same with galleries. It is true that there are some products that make this easier (xbiz gallery booster and gallery pool from arrowscripts for example) but they still don't offer a standardized format and timing mechanisms for the transmission of galleries from the makers to the TGP owners.

That is unless of course, there is a product that I haven't found, and if this is the case, please someone, show me the way to this product, I would love to use it.

Then a simple csv file which can be done in Excel or another spreadsheet format is a step up from what is being offered right now. For example, like http://www.xxx-kink.com/gallery-list/

As for your RSS feed pornanza, as interesting of an idea as that is, Im guessing those sites didn't give permission and wouldn't like the idea of another TGP showing the galleries that they spent the time approving.
