Thank you for reading this post. Let me clarify what I mean by "advisor". I'm looking for an experienced adult webmaster to look over my website and to basically point out/outline/report what my site's flaws are. To put it simply: I need someone to look it over and tell me why I'm not making any conversions and what I can to do reverse this trend.
To be frank, I do not operate on the premise that making conversions on a site is a matter of "the law of averages", meaning that if you push enough traffic into it, you'll eventually start to attract surfers who will want to click on ads/subscribe to your sponsors. I feel, and I understand if you disagree with me, that even if the traffic is sparse or plentiful, the selling power is found predominantly in the site. Therefore, despite the fact that my site is relatively new, I believe I can be and should be making sales.
I'd like to make it painfully clear that I'm not asking for someone to do the work for me outside of assisting me in analyzing and creating a great strategy for my site. I will implement, myself, whatever needs to be done. I simply need someone who has much experience under their belt, not to mention a great track record of making sales, to push me in the right direction. The "teach a man to fish" proverb comes to mind.
As far as payment is concerned, I cannot dish out large sums of money because, well, I'm not making any but I'm not against investing money into this the same way I would a hosting company, a site designer, or any other similar cost of creating/running a website. I am willing to negotiate an amenable sum for the right candidate.
I'm guessing that if you've read this far, you're interested in the job, so I will now list some candidate-qualities I'm seeking.
1) Experience running blogs. This is a must since my site is a blog and because I plan to start other blogs. I would also like to see what blogs you're currently administering.
2) Success with sales. This probably goes without saying, but it never hurts to repeat yourself on important issues. I will require some sort of proof of your marketing skills and salesmanship. Something like yearly sales stats for your best/worst sponsors, or an equivalent. I'm not sure what evidence you can provide, or what evidence you're willing to provide, but I'd really appreciate if I could see something that would prove to me that you have demonstrable skill.
3) Patience with a noob. I will make no bones about it: I'm a noob and I will probably hound you with what seems like an endless amount of questions. Please take it in stride.
If you're interested, please contact me through ICQ (418194907). I hope that I don't come across as a lazy individual because I have put a lot of time and energy into the ventures that I have going right now. At this point, however, I'm spinning my wheels and I require some intensive outside guidance. I thank you for reading this, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
