SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.
cant trademark words. The words (the) and (hun) cant be owned. Usage of words are freespeech, the dashes and no image ripoffs on the site frees of any liablity.
the word apple is not trademarked... world apple typeset in Adobe Garamond font with some specific kerning is. The Apple Logo is. The word itself is not. This is one of the reasons why more and more companies are choosing to make up new words for names so the they can also trademark the very word...
Note: I'm not a lawyer, but my day job requires that I spend a great deal of time interpereting copyright and trademark issues...
Ok, one quick lesson in trademarks... You CAN trademark ANY name from ANY dictionary, which means you get the sole rights to do a certain business (discribed in the trademark) using the name you trademarked. That means that there's no problem at all with www.the--hun.com the way it is right now. You can have this domain and I am not able to do anything about it even if I wanted to (which I don't). But if you are going to do anything that comes close to the mark I own I can (and will) take action. Not only could I get the domain through a WIPO, I could sue for damages and all. And those damages are not limited to loss of income, they could include attorney's costs and such, which adds up. Also, a violation of a trademark can get you a pretty hefty fine.
The way the--hun.com is set up now I don't have a problem with it. If there's but one adult add on there it's a trademark violation...
