Agreed what you can make with ARS in your sig is way more then the 50 and 100 buck deals I see flying around here.

You raise a few good points about people sporting the ARS sigs being looked down upon. I've noticed a lot of new registrants whoring the crap out of this place with them. GFY is like my second home, lol. Like it or not, using an ARS sig that pays per impression tarnishes the validity of anything you post and gets you ignored by a good percentage of webmasters. IMO, that is hardly worth $100 - 500 or whatever ARS sig whores make.
