Just an example...

What if I sold my sig. space for a year for a laptop.

Rather than selling the space for cash, could'nt I accept the laptop as a gift and the sponsor buying the sig. space use the laptop as a write off? So both parties win?

1. They could write it off as a gift
or
2. If the sig. space seller doesn't care, the sponsor could just write it off and say it was for their use?

Just a thought.

i don't know about the write off, but offering gifts instead of just cash sounds like a good idea.

whats the going rate for a laptop, why woulds wnat to be held to them for a whole year for what 5500..to each it's own

Just for educational purposes...any monies you are paid are for Advertising and will be written off on taxes as a necessary business expense....BUT....I have always liked the idea of giving gifts instead of money...it just seems so much better.

I wanted to do something nice for someone this year that had given me a tip that lead to me making hundreds of thousands of dollars but she wouldn't take any money from me. So, I bought her and her husband an all expense paid trip to the Bahamas including airfare, resort, all the meals, spa days, diving, everything included and they loved it....and it only cost me like $7k.......everybody wins
