I had a script on all my sites that I need now. My sites were gone when I came out of a four-year coma (long story) so I have no access.
The code was a line or two to produce the following:
Date
Time
IP address
URL visited
Action taken if any (did they try to login, and if so, what username and password were used)
URL they came from
Error produced
My host has error logs but only for 24 hours. They have no access logs. I'd like both but no expiration date. Instead, every 24 hours save the log under a hidden folder. For example, each site will have /coffee/ as a folder name -- Java is coffee. Each log saved as date/name, like 10/9/16_access.txt or 10/9/16_errors.txt. I'll upload to my machines, review, then delete from server.
If the code for reverse IP can easily be included, great, like 167.49.server.comcst.net (24.567.3490.21).
A coder can bang this out in a few minutes, upload it, visit a few times, then check the log for accuracy. Ten minutes work. Payment of under $20. Don't laugh. I'm on SSDI and after nursing home rent $300 + meds/day (my entire check goes to them, you taxpayers carry the rest) so cash is a rarity. I can work by writing for you, posting glowing reviews of your product, proofreading your sites or other menial typing jobs. Type with one finger now as opposed to 80 wpm before being disabled so it can't be something you need quickly.
If I sound desperate, I am. Six Wordpress blogs (not for profit) were hacked and when I discovered it, a week had gone by and logs were absent. So, no idea how they breached. It's taken a year to find someone willing to remove hacker code and bring up sites. It's been a month though he said a week. When he's done I want to be ready
