i need spyware help, please

had some issues where my computer would freeze completely but the mouse would still move around. keys didnt work, touchscreen didnt work, nothing other than the mouse

had best buy give it a look and they said i had 50 infections. i asked why the kaperski i bought from them didnt even catch 1 and what they have caught 50

lady said spyware dr caught 15, i just got that. she also said that the reason my spyware program didnt catch them is because it only scans windows and what they used scans outside of windows.

now im not the best at computers but i know a little. i have the feeling they were trying to scare me into paying them the $ to remove the shit but i knew i could just find something online for free or fairly cheap.

now, my kaperski says "full scan" i imagine that means windows and everything but the lady said it just scans windows.

can any of u recommend a good spyware/malware/whatever i need to try to get my shit straight?? for now i would like something free only...wont have any cash for about another week and really dont feel like buying someting anyway...thanks in advance. fuck all of you.

Try "surf right" it runs all the anti spyware programs in one give it a go it includes adware and spybot etc usually gets rid of everything for me

You can start with avast.com and get their antivirus software for free. Then malwarebtes.org can be run and if things are really in the shitter you can grab some software called hijackthis off the internet. All of these programs are free and I have used them with much success. Good luck and next time you want porn go to a virus free paysite and stay off the free tubes LOL

Go and download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for free...Install, Run, and Update it. Then, boot your PC up in safe mode and do a complete scan...Clean/Remove and then reboot again (not in safe mode)..you should be good and clean by far the best free anti-malware software out there!

thanks for the suggestions. i got my spyware dr. transfered to this computer, ran it and removed 15 infections. DLed malawar bytes and ran it, didnt find any problems. just tried the spybot also and it found 2 but they were just tracking cookies.

for the ppl talking about running in safe mode, is there any benefit to running the programs in safe mode vs. just running it normally?

again, thanks to everyone for the suggestions. its so hard to keep up with shit on this computer because i have 3kids and a wife who clicks everything tht says win something free...then she denies it all day long lol.
