    Why ICQ? Spam Machine.

It seems that ICQ is the Instant Messenger of choice among adult webmasters. Why? I am very familiar with Instant Messengers and use AIM and Yahoo daily. Being fairly new to this board, I decided to join the crowd and got ICQ about a week ago.

Now I'm being bombarded with Russian spammers trying to add me to their buddy list. Never a problem with Yahoo or AIM. Perhaps there is some privacy setting that I am missing.

So, why ICQ? I remember using it way back in the late 90's and I wasn't all that fond of it back then.

ICQ is more secure than aim and yahoo, but I heard that skype is now becoming the best of all of them, but im not really sure though

I prefer Skype and AIM but ICQ is out there and as you say, seems to be preferred but I have no clue why! It's junk and yes, the Russkies are very, very busy with invitations, so I just block them as they show up.

Skype or AIM kicks ICQ's ass all over the place!

        Sally.

          Is there any antispam features?
I'm not using original client for years, and my alternative client can block spam messages easily
