How 2 Create a Good Affiliate Program

Hello,

I'm new to the biz and I'm looking for some info on how to build a site to promote a few afilitate programs. With the all the sites out there, I'm sure you can't just throw up a site with a few links on it and hope to get conversations. Do you even need a site? Are there other ways to promote?

I'm basically starting at square one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The best thing is to start doing a lot of reading. This is a great message board, with a tremendous amount of information in the history. Read the archives and use the search to find answers to all of your basic questions. Also, get to know the oldest and most frequent posters.

Welcome to GFY, nlmiller1. You need to build a site that gets traffic in good quantities and qualities. It's the traffic that will get you the conversions. You need to optimize your site to get the traffic you want. Your conversions can be 1:100 or 1:1000, depending on the quality of the traffic you get.

Focus on getting traffic. You can get traffic from sources such as:
1) Traffic trades
2) Buying traffic
3) Hardlinks
4) Search Engines
5) Forums
6) Articles
