Question- Advice Needed

Hey guys...so I am getting ready to launch my site here in a few weeks after a few months of delay.

My question is this: I have a ton of content shot, and I am still shooting...but What do you think about me releasing 75% of my content shot then releasing the rest week by week until I get a few sales and then keep adding?

Never been here before so I dont have a clue...I have some other advice...just looking to make a final decision.

you cant launch a site with a few videos.. id go with 10+ then add one a week and never stop.

I understand that I have 100K+ into this site...45+ models so far...I was planning on releasing 35 models, each model having a minimum of 2 videos, but most having 5 or 6, with some having around 9/10. Also, I want to make sure members get value and quality Sht for there money so I dont want to be that fly by night site that gives a 1 photo set update then call it weekly updates. That being said.....1 model release per week after the launch....or wait a few weeks, get a few members, affiliates on their way...then start rolling out the models?

Or better yet...releasing 20 models then slowly letting out the rest of them? What I am worried about is that putting out all my models at once then having 5/6 left for updates then still having to shoot shoot shoot without getting sales in the door....

If you release some of your content earlier, this means that you will have cashflows coming in earlier. The earlier the cashflows come in, the more it is worth.

So, this cashflow thing would work something like this, let's compare 2 scenarios:

1) You make a sale today and the customer pays you $500 upfront - good
2) You make a sale today and the customer pays you $500 in a week - bad

Let's say the lending rate is 5%. This would mean that getting $500.00 today is worth the same thing as receiving about $500.05 in 1 week.

Now, there could also be some other factors in your decision. Perhaps your customer wants to buy all the content, not just 75%. Anyway, you decide.

Let me ask you this. Since each model has 4/5 photo sets, and 4/5/6/ videos: Say..upload 2 of there sets then 2 of their videos then release another video or set per model that I had shot from there shoot days?

I like that...just dont know if our members or affilaites will see that as a cheap or non value move. I want to make sure that when this thing opens that I have affiliates who beleive in me and what I am doing and also the customers who are willing to pay to see what I have....its a tough call...thanx for your advice

What sites are you pushing that youve seen since their openings? I am leaning towards opening with 30 models....then adding 1 model a week with a huge video and photo update per model.....then continue doing so for as long as I run the site or until I hit break even and possibly release models every 5 days so...6 models a month.

The problem with launching a site with ALL your content is that a member will probably sign up for a month, download everything and cancel their subscription afterwards (although the only way you can be slightly sure this won't happen is if you have LOADS of content). The trick is to get them to sign up but also ensure you can RETAIN their loyalty.

One idea is to build a community (even if you start with a small forum) and focus on getting people to interact - I'm currently a member of the site and I've stayed a member simply because of the great community - some months I barely go into the site itself! If you can get your models to interact with the members on this forum this would provide a huge boost in the attraction the forum can develop: hot models from the site discussing general topics with members! Members generally feel that these models are always "out of reach" the same way people think about celebrities, but to bring them into the forums will make them more "human" and inspire loyalty in at least a few members.

Another idea is to have a "Coming Soon" page that, e.g. displays the upcoming content for the next week. This builds confidence that your site is loyal to it's members by updating it on a daily (or at least frequent) basis.

Whatever you do, when you do launch ensure you have unreleased content that will keep you going (and allow you to update daily) for at least a few weeks while you shoot more content and work on getting more sales. Nothing will be worse than launching with all your content and then having to work your ass off shooting (so you can at least do updates!) leaving no time for marketing.

Thanks....we will have a blog....looking into building the forum right now...also, the coming soon is one thing I had intended to use, its a great idea, and a good way to showcase whats coming in the future weeks. Decided to hold back quite a few models...until sales start to come in then release weekly more than likely then continue shooting- its been too cold out so with March?April coming around it should be perfect.
One thing I dont intend to do is having "daily updates" like I have seen on other sets that are just a photo set and call that an "update"- The intention is to have a weekly update with a fresh face with tons of video and multiple photo sets...but for the start I may do something a little different, Ill have to adjust as it goes.

Do you own a site or just a member of a site that has the suggestions you mentioned?

Just been a member of some sites and from my experience those features are the kinds of things that keep people hooked (they did for me, anyway).
