    Google Analytics Question

I use google Analytics to track traffic to my websites, but there are some websites that do not get tracked at all.

I add the code right before </body> as I always do, but they still aren't tracked after 3 days. Is there something in a wordpress blog that would prevent the google analytics code from working?

Did you put it in the theme HTML files? That works for me, but you could also get a analytics plugin to wordpress. Then there should be no problem at all.

I use the Google Analytics Wordpress plugin and have not had any problems with it. I've used it for many blogs, both adult and mainstream.

It shouldn't be any problem if you do that, after you save your template, view the source to check if the code is showing or if there are some javascript errors, check it with IE. If you did everything good it should work. I can give you a hand if you want, just ICQ me.

what other methods do you use to track your sites besides analyitcs. check with. analytics dosent lie unless the code is gone. try checking your ranks for search terms. see if links are still up. maybe got google sandboxed.

I'd personally stop using analytics completely. Chances are you have server stats which are going to be infinitely more accurate anyway.

I add the code right before </body> in footer. No problem.

Others javascript and Google in footer can give a conflict

Make sure your footer permission is set to writable so that it saves your code once you add it. Also, check to see if google has indexed your website in the search engine.

The code is just above </body> as I did with my other 30 blogs. It tracked hits for 3 days and it stopped

Try clearing cache if you have wp-cache installed -- check to see if pages are loading the code by viewing the source.

Finally check to see if your word press installation is set to ignore search engines or not.

If that doesn't work, wtf, double check to see if your domain is added to analytics properly Ie, misspell or extension mistake.

                                          Let me know.
