A clone site

Being a cam start up we didn't have the big funds to spend on a cam site script (at least $4000). We opted for a smaller budgeted script. Now I totally understand you get what you pay for so I am not expecting a lot from this script. However this script is a clone of one of the top cam sites around. The colors, the look, feel, etc. My question is, is this legal? I know it is too late now but I am a little curious.

Its legal unless one of your competitors decides he wants to sue you over it. As long as that doesn't happen, its just a similar template.

You can't copyright ideas (That'd be a patent) so unless the creators of the script you suspect has been copied can prove that the source code is a copy paste job the fact that it has similar funcionality is a non issue
