cams.com conversions

I'm brand new here and gfy and also a noob at owning an adult website but I'm dedicated and trying to get into it.

Recently I've started using cams.com by embedding their "Cams-in-a-box" widget into my site, and here is what I have so far for it:

after 5 days of running here are my stats:

Refers Sent: 2378
Unique IPs Sent: 1701
Members: 154(13)
Sales: 0

Should I abandon cams.com? or is it too early to tell if I will get sales or not. I'm mostly interested in your experience as to how many free members will convert into paying members, is this a bad ratio so far?

Hey there.. I've been selling Cams.com myself, ever since I started In porn actually I do about 1:120-140 with them right now. Personally I dont care to much about the cams in a box thing. Try to use some of their more simple gadgets.. They have great Iframes with direct links to live camshows. they also have a livecam window to put on your site with an online performer.. Those are great ratios you got there, but the emphasis should be on the 0. It's like getting people to go to a tube site and start watching for free - not difficult.

On AWE's sites, you don't get any BS free signup, which just distracts people from spending and taking the models private. You can get 1:200, 300 easily with SALES not free signups.

i tried them on many different blogs and i can say that i still do better with regular paysites...

sent a lot of uniques to cam sponsors and people don't buy them.. they buy my paysite banners though...

Not all webcam sites will convert the same from your site, but surfers do love cams. The best thing to do is to sign up with a handful of good webcam programs and send some test traffic to each one. Then you can check your conversion ratios to see which one your surfers like the best, and stick with it.

I don't know why because my traffic usually convert good to other sites.
It is strange, because I have lots of sign up but not sale.

Streamray has been doing some really fishy shit lately. It's time to dump them I think. I usually get $200 - $300 from them a month but I won't even make $100 this month and I haven't had sales that low with them in almost 4 years.

With Cams.com I am converting them at about 1:10 unique to free but no sales yet from it (Like I said great traffic). It's a little discouraging but I'm willing to give it a month and see.

I know the post is old but last december i gave cams a try and it was really great for me.
Here are my stats from 12/2011 till today:

Refers Sent: 331,843
Unique IPs Sent: 86,400
Members: 13,754(941)
Sales: 102 (no rebill only first order) minus 10 frauds

That's a 0,12% conversion rate on uniques but i can't say if it's a good or bad rate, i've no landmark on this since i'm new to it.
