Blog down...HTTP 500 internal server error...

Updated my blog last night, everything was working, logged in just before bed to check something but didn't change a thing, site was up and working with no problem. Just attempted to login after waking up this morning, admin is down, clicked the main page, that's down as well and giving me a 500 internal server error.

I haven't changed a thing that could have caused this, i've logged in via ftp and none of the files have been modified either, very confused...can anyone please help

    Using wordpress 2.8.4 btw

Delete all your plugins. You can reupload them right away afterwards and enable them.

Sounds like you did not disable them all and upon update one of them broke the site.

Aks your hosting to restore a backup, if they don't have, look for a better hosting company ...

It could also just mean itthat Wordpress simply can't connect to your database, especially as you can connect by ftp.
Open a trouble ticket with your host, it's probably something that can be fixed almost instantly.

Failure to connect will not result in a 500 error.

Check the error log, that will tell you what's going on. If you don't have access to logs, contact your host.
