Galleries - Comus Thumbs / Chameleon

I'm trying to get my head around how galleries work... In researching GFY, it seems that Comus Thumbs seems to be a great platform... And it seems as if quite alot of people are using Chameleon Submitter. Having 0 experience with galleries... And 0 traffic to galleries at this time... Am I on the right track?

Well yes and no.
Comus is the tool that you use to BUILD a tgp.. Thats the site where people submit galleries to.

Chameleon is the tool that you use to submit galleries with to tgp sites.
