    Take what they say with a grain of salt.


    Remember that they tell people that they give the most relevant searchs on the net. And if they tell you how to manipulate that, then they no longer do.

          I read through it and it does cover most of the basics that every webmaster should know, so it's a great read for all new webmasters. Obviously there is much more to SEO than just the basics but we all have to start somewhere.

            I find it more "newsworthy" that Google has bothered to accept that "SEO" exists and that it brings home the bacon for many!

            Before, when asked about SEO strategies, they would act almost like, "I don't know what you're talking about!" Now, at least, they identify that there are certain aspects (that they take into account) of one's website that can be altered in such a way to increase the possibility of being found in the search engines...
