Join-Page design help

I need some help with the join page also.
The form looks all right but the rest is just messy.
I had the marketing info in just text but it looked too cramped.

For me v1 is way better... what I don't like are the buttons (that is what breaks v2 - making the marketing content look like buttons).
The size is exaggerated and too many effects placed on them with what looks like almost maximum parameters applied (especially on bevel). It works for the "Choose your membership plan" tho

Okay. I'll scrap v2 and just add some more space for the desc text on V1, i'll get rid of button and just move Form up.

I just don't know how much marketing crap to put underneath.
I can just design a page like this site where it's part of the tour.

Are videos on the join page annoying also? They seem to distract from the actual function of the page.

We also need to hire a freelance copywriter -- does anyone have any experience in this style off creative writing. We had a copy writer on V 1.0 of the site but he is no longer available.

Log In Page

Hi!

did you see the post about the member log in page? Just need some creative advice

Here's how I'd modify that:
I would put the "Not a member yet" section underneath the login form...
The secret word image on the right side of the field the user suppose to enter that word
Would make the login button a little bigger and place it on the right side...
On the left side of the button the forgot password link would go....
Would bring username and password fields closer to each other..

Or variations on the above..
The thing is that I had to look for the login button for a sec before finding it and the user would search for the secret word image because is not visually related with the field. The "forgot password " is too invisible for me there.

This one looks nice, but make those little images at the bottom a little smaller. Thats almost enough for guys to jerk off to.

Here's Members Login v 3.0
Hopefully the link will work now that i'm off freehost.

I took out all the CAPTCHA don't know if we will even use it.
Seems most big sites just user NAME & PASS and cookies by my programmer said
no cookies.

Is there anything vitally important i'm leaving out?
