    2 Quick questions

Hi Gfyer's I need a little help with a few things:

    1. Would anyone know why this happens, I uploaded my site to my domain when I just type www.domainname.com it tells me upload site to public_html folder to get rid of this ( I have uploaded my site to the public_html folder, however if I type www.domainname.com/index.php it works fine, anyone know how to correct this?

    2. Also If I wanted to get some videos, for a tube type site are there any sponsors that provide this if I join a program? Do I have to buy them or are they available via sponsors? I want to stay legal so I don't just wanna throw videos up there.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    AMDWarrior

If you want index.php to be your default page when people type in your domain, you've got to tell it to your HTTP server (seems like its not in the your default config.)

With Apache, simply create a file ".htaccess" with "DirectoryIndex index.php" in it.

You lost me at the "DirectoryIndex index.php" part.

On your hosting control panel, if you have a file manager: create a new file in public_html... name it ".htaccess" (without the quotes) ... edit the newly created file and write on the first line what sysk told you... that is "DirectoryIndex index.php" (without the quotes)

If you only have ftp access:
Create a new text document and write in it "DirectoryIndex index.php" ... save it as "htaccess" (windows will not let you save it with the dot as first character) ... upload this file into public_html ... Once uploaded rename it to ".htaccess"

Hit me on msn at ovidiu.webcams {a.t.} gmail . com if you don't know how to do it... I'll help you out..

Most sponsors provide embedd clips as well.
However , before you sign up for a new sponsors , you may take a look at "Marketing" section to see what tools offer 4 webmasters
