Which Dedicated Server Host?

Hi guys, I'm new here and have been lurking in the shadows for a few months just reading. This is my first post! Here it goes:

So I have narrowed my choices for a dedicated server down to a few different hosts. Some I found here and others through general research.

I would greatly appreciate any negative or positive feedback you have for them:

1) 1and1.com

2) singlehop.com

3) webair.com

4) eboundhost.com

I have used 1and1 shared hosting and I was very happy with them, but on shared hosting at least, adult material is not allowed, it could be different for dedicated.

From the list of host you have, I would recommend you Webair. Many of the big free sites as well as paysites are hosted by them. But if you're also open to other suggestions, let me recommend you Naked Hosting. They not only offer reliable dedicated servers, they also have quick and efficient support team members and that, I'm talking from my own experience.

Well lots of excellent choices both on your short list and in this thread. First suggestion if this is for an adult site make sure that you choose a host that is really adult friendly and secondly I think that in most cases, even if your site is mainstream that the long time established adult hosts can still deliver a better environment in many cases for you to work from.

All that said I would certainly like you to consider Caro.Net ! Our network has been up and running since 1995 and we have been the network home to AEBN since they came online.

ive been looking for a dedicated server at a good price and honestly looking on here gives no clear answer as we all are happy with our servers. so i guess the question is, what are the specifications i should look for included with the server that i should use and what is a good price? my current company is offering dedicated servers at 120 a month but they are all self managed? so i guess what i want to know is

what should be included? ie, gb's harddrives, firewalls? control panels? you get the point. help me out brothas and sistas! ive looked at a few so far but not sure whats best for this industry

I get my server from The Planet and I use Platinum Server Management to look after it for me - saves me the bother!
