How much do you spend....

On marketing budgets? Do you work on a % of total turnover? Or do you just stick to an amount in $$ per month? Do you spend more at certain times in the year?

Running this paysite and never really having a set budget per month, I figured I best put something into practice. My guts saying around 25% of total turnover and see what happens.

Any ideas from others who run paysites?

all depends on your turnover/strategy/type of websites, I think it's best to begin with a vast amount and when you reach a certain level, you can use %, which will help branding

Thanks c0ld - think you're right. Going to spend a big wad and then I'm presuming I'll find a plateau. Then, I'll learn where my % sits. Thought I'd ask the question though..
