    Is this server enough?

    Hello,
I'm considering buying the following server:

    PENTIUM-D 820 DUAL-CORE 2.8GHZ 800FSB 2GB 250GB SATA 2000GB/MONTH

It meets my bandwidth need (1300GB/mon) but not sure if it enough for my site that runs a smarthumbs with 10GB of msql database of vids as well as 4 AT3 scripts and 1 TGPX.

Do u guy think this would be enough? I don't want to buy something more expensive as I can't afford it.

    Your opinion is appreaciated.
    Thanks

10 gb of MySql is relatively large.

More memory ( 4 gb ) would be better. Also, Apache ( I presume ) will have to be tweaked so that the connections die fast enough for the new ones not to be put in queue ...

Naturally, easy answer is take a stronger box ... but this is not the answer you need.

Try it and see . If problems arise, then you will need to address them accordingly.
I know that Asspimple is stoopid ... As he says, it is a FACT !

But I can't figure out how he can breathe or type , at the same time ....

Nobody can really tell you if it will run fine or not, there isn't a way to predict as your traffic, what your traffic does, how well it's configured and your scripts will ultimately determine how it is going to run.
