    Best video editing and encoding software

    Anyone have a recommendation for video editing software and encoding software. I have a Mac and a PC so OS is not an issue. Looking for something easier than main actor which is just a pain in the ass. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

              Adobe Premiere Pro or Sony Vegas are good pc apps for video editing. Sorenson Squeeze, Cleaner XL or VideoCharge for encoding.
