I've been curious about this question for sometime.

Can a emancipated minor be in porn videos legally?

In the US, 16year olds can drive cars legally but can't make legally binding decisions until at least 18 or unless emancipated minor in most states.

Age of consent varies in most states from about 14 on up. However, they are not legally binding adults, so if a adult picks up someone this age they can be charged with kidnapping or perhaps some sort of dilinguency of minor.

I was just wondering how emancipated minors fit in. They still have to wait to 21 to drink and I'm not sure if they are allowed to vote until 18. They can buy cars/apartments legally and other stuff. If they can do all this, can they be in porn?

but dont you have a moral objection to shooting someone under the age of 18? I dont think they can be in the videos by the way.

As a matter of fact NO! they can not.

Here is an example of a case.

A man in NY married a 17 year old girl he videotaped them having sex and was thrown into jail for child porn laws.

As you know being married immediatly emmancapates you if you are under 18...

I would not skirt or fuck with the 18 issue in any way shape or form.

I guess point of emancipated minor is simply to allow someone under 18 to live on their own legally and not to give them any special status other than that.

Not going to work in the USA because of sec. 2257 of Title 18, United States Code. Have to be documented 18 years of age at time of filming.
