Sponsors will ALWAYS say they're having record months..

With the US economy being the way it is, high gas prices worldwide, market saturation and more webmasters than surfers, yeah.. you're going to continue having shit months.

Every day hundreds of surfers join GFY thinking they can just jump in without a fucking clue with no skills whatsoever and become webmasters and make money.. 99.99% of these idiots will fail.. the other .01% won't see any income or checks/payouts for at least 90 days.

thanks for opinion. What is strange is that last month, May, had record sales for me. Maybe it is only summer period, I don't know.

The one thing I've learned over the last 12 years is not to believe a word out of anyone's mouth, most especially the guys they put in charge of affiliate programs.

What the other person said was true though, the economy sucks right now so it's only natural to notice a slight drop in sales. Any extra cash someone might have had to spend on porn is going to oil companies with their massive increase in gas prices. Which also means that the cost of other things have risen including the cost of food. So blah blah blah economy sucks, blah blah blah yes - it hurts your bottom line.

But that may not be the case. Keep an eye on your bottom line every month. Keep a spreadsheet to keep track of your earnings. You would be surprised what MAJOR problems a good hold on your stats can show you. Here is what I track of with mine.

List each website and the traffic each of those websites gets per month and average per day. If they go up or down in any way out of the ordinary I go investigating as to why.

Now list off each sponsor and keep track of how much traffic you are sending them, how much you are earning and I break my down even further into averages. Total traffic per month, average per day, total earned per month, average earnings per day and finally the earnings per visitor (how much each unique click I send someone is worth to me). For example, every unique visitor I sent Vivid Cash for the month of June was worth $.14 to me. That's down from the $.18 per visitor I was earning however it's still well within range so I don't go digging just yet. However another program I do business with (whom I won't mention) isn't producing for me at all now. It went from earning me $.03 a unique visitor to earning me nothing for the entire month!

These kind of things I keep track of for years and compare the data and see that July has historically sucked for me every year for the last 4 years but August seems to be a great month for me.

Thank you for advices. I am keeping tracks of sales and conversions and It never happened that things start to be this bad. I had some short bad periods but now, there is no sale for 10 days, and almost same traffic as usually is something really unexpected.

Strange... I just had my best month in the past 2 years. I mean for real, no bullshit.

If what you are doing isnt working... make a small change, give it a day or two and see if it improves or not. If it gets better, keep the change in place and then find something else to change, then sit back and observe. If it gets worse, undo the change, then make a different change and see what happens. I've been in the business for 12 years and have always found that I have to keep tweaking things, or sales drop off.

The new sales have slowed way down on a lot of the sites I promote, but the rebills keep growing little by little. I average 50 grand a month every month off of my work as an affiliate.

BUT we are trying to make something different...Anything and everything to be different from the sea of boring porn...

My paysite always gets better and better and I am not just saying that either. Alexa rating is currently at 22,000 so the traffic is nice. Not to mention, it just continues to go lower and lower and on a very steady basis. Of course, I know there are paysites out there that have a lower rating but there are many, many that do not. The traffic...as well as the new and recurring sales are flowing in like mad and the affiliates are very happy!

New to the forum but have been running a few pay sites for the last 10 years or so. Summer for us has always been a bit slower, but last month and this month we've done pretty well. Not the best, but not bad.

It's just like Mr Pheer said, gotta keep evolving slowly or things will drop off, people get bored easily.
