Build A Forum From Scratch....Any Help?

Ok, looking to start up my first forum. I already have the domain and its in the Shemale/Tranny niche.

I seen other forums run by VBulletin but I know nothing about them. Im looking to ad certain "topics" that many others may not have etc,

Where is the first place to search to build and maintain a forum?

I have hostgator as my webhost, again already have the domain, now need the site ;)

if you want to use vbulletin, go to their site and download the software (vbulletin.com). you can lease the software for $100 per year, and they have all kinds of support there for you

there are some open source free forum software available (phpbb and smf) that you can use as well which might work out for you

forums can be alot of work

Other than that, I've always used PHPBB2 - but it's been awhile, be prepared to update the software so if you do hack your forum; WRITE DOWN WHAT YOU DO LOL or you'll be in trouble first time you need to update the software ><
