    Advice on advertisements

I'm close to launching a free dating site. I currently have google adsense text banners peppered through the site. Should I go with google? Or should I look elsewhere?

I have google on another site and my checks have decreased nearly in half from last year, yet traffic has increased about 10%. I'm hoping for something in around $1 - 2.50/cpm return. Is that possible on a free dating site using google ads these days?

Not sure, but you should look into advertising on other directories...the bloom is off the rose on Google, so to speak.

BTW, I have a dating blog, hit me up on ICQ at 374-142-492.

I've set aside cash for advertising, but was wondering what route i should take at converting my traffic into sales.

One of my biggest hurdles will be the simplicity factor of the site. The site was intentionally designed to be simple and functional -- think facebook for dating. Therefore, flashy ads wouldn't flow well with the site's current style guide. I would need a good text-based ad serving company. Aside from google and yahoo, what other sites produce a nice return?

I would have to see your site but I would recommend using totemcash. It depends on your site of course but they are doing well for me
