    Mainstream Music Site

    Hello,

I made a site a while ago and haven't done anything with it for ages. The site gets a lot of traffic for what it is (20k visits per month according to my web stats) and now I have some time on my hands I'd like to try and fix it up a little (or a lot). I have people that are willing to supply me with content and regular up dates just for the love of music and something they enjoy doing.
I was just hoping some of you could give me your honest and constructive criticism and maybe a few pointers on what I should try and improve first and if you can see any money making potential in the site?

    http://www.beyondthegroove.net

Also should I try and convert the site to a CMS based program or just develop the site as it is?

Thanks for taking the time to read this and any help would be greatly appreciated!

By the way I haven't really made it that clear on the site, but it's aimed at the over 30's crowd who have discovered Funk, Soul, Jazz etc through growing up listening to Hip Hop!

      My suggesstions:
a CMS def. would not hurt.
if keeping what you have then change the color of the links at the top..they blend in too much
Throw some adsense on there and start making some revenue off it

All of what you are trying to do could be much more organized with a CMS like Xoops

Hey if I was you I would re-do the site in CMS like Joomla or even modified Wordpress. It has potential but needs a redesign.

          Cheers,

I tried Joomla & Drupal myself, but I couldn't figure it out. I have only basic skills using Dreamweaver & Paintshop. Anything outside of that and I need help!

If anyone is interested in working on the site I'd love to hear from you!

            Thanks
