    Great tutorials about optimizing needed

    Hi, guys.

I have learned how to work with Photoshop and Dreamweaver after courses from: http://totaltraining.com/prod/home_solutions.asp

Now i'd like to wonder - is there something like that about sites' optimizing?

Maybe some video tutorials or great text-sources.

    Thx anyway.

    Basic tips:

Use one <h1> tag per page, put the PAGE title in it.

In the TITLE tag, put the PAGE title first, then the site name (ex. HOW TO OPTIMIZE YOUR SITE - Yourdomain.com)

Page titles are important, so put some KWs in there.

Make an XHTML and XML sitemap (google has links to some tools that help you do this).

Go read blogs. Don't know what type of site you are running but there are a lot of great SEO and site optimization tips out there... search "site optimization blogs" or "how to optimize websites blogs" crap like that.

I'm assuming your talking about Search Engine Optimization, btw--or are you talking about site architecture and stuff like that?

Also, depending on what kind of site you're running, putting it on to Wordpress or other CMS platforms can help a lot. The engine of these things tend to put stuff together a lot more Google and search friendly...

optimizing from what perspective? be more specific. usually optimizing for one aspect means it's less optimized for others. it's always a tradeoff
