Aconyms For Noobs
Hello everyone, figured I'd introduce myself.
I'm currently a nobody in the industry, vieing for a job as an affiliate rep. I'm interested in getting a head start if I do get the job by studying the industry. Thus far GFY has been a good source of knowledge.
One thing i noticed when first browsing the boards was a large use of acronyms that I had no idea the meaning of, so I started to compile a list of industry acronyms and what they mean (from my understanding)
If anyone has any acronyms they'd like to add to the list, I'll update it as i get submissions
SEO - Search Engine Optimization
SE - Search Engine
Tube - User Submitted Video Content
AVS - Adult Verification System
AFF - Adult Friend Finder
TGP - Thumbnail Gallery Posts
PPS - Pay Per Sign-up
PPC - Pay Per Click
PPM - Pay Per Membership
FPA- Full Page Ad
P/RP - Partnership/Reccuring Program
SERP - Search Engine Results Page
RSS - Really Simple Syndication
GFY- Go Fuck Yourself ;)
