I was talking with a friend and he told me that zend optimizer places a cookie on surfers pc wich is considered spamming.
Can someone answer me, and make this clear.
No, Zend Optimizer isn't spyware. It's needed to run php scripts that have been encoded using Zend Encoder. It's just a way for programmers to protect source code and set up enforceable licenses. There are supposedly performance gains that come from using it but I haven't really checked that out for myself.
