There's no way to just determine the worth of a site/domain based solely on it's PageRank. What about traffic? Links in? Search engine ranking? Revenue?

Although a PR of 5 is very decent, there are a lot of factors to consider.

That depends on the age of the domain and its history

You need to tell people how many unique visitors you have per month, how much money you make per month, and what words for the site appear on the first page of Google search results.

And, yeah, the age of the domain and all that stuff is important too. Do you own your own content? That sort of thing.

Without that info, the value is minimal.

Page rank is one of those things that can add to the value of a domain but doesn't really define the value.

                        Here are some things ....

How many words are in your domain name? 1, 2, 3? The more words, the lower the value?

Are these real prounacle words like Love and not fdsr? If so, this helps the value?

If you have more than one word, then the words must flow well together like "I Love You" instead of "House Bounce". Yes, two real words but they don't exactly flow well together.

No dashes, digits or abbreviations. Love2LuvU-Baby = bad.

How old is your domain? The older the better. How far back is your site listed in the archives? It's important to know the answer to both. For example, I have a domain name that I purchased in August of 1997 but it's only in the archives as far back as 1998. Anyway, not that big of a deal just know both dates.

Know your page rank. How long have you had that page rank?

What keywords in google does your site rank in the top 10 (that are relevant to your domain name) and know about how long you have had these ranks.

For example if your site is LoveYouMistyHappy then you will want to say things like ....

I rank #2 for Love you misty happy
                        #1 for Misty Happy
#7 for Porn star Misty Happy
and # 3 for Misty Happy naked

                        ------------------------------------------------------------------

Now all of that is basing the value of your site just on your domain name ... you can go further and possibly get more money based on the work you've put into the site.

How much traffic does the site get per day? (unique visitors)
Can you prove it? (ie: Server logs and something like google analytics)

Where does the traffic come from? ie: 83% google, 7% Yahoo, 10% other mostly US based.

What type of niche is your site for? The bigger the niche, typically the more your traffic is worth. ie: Bondage, glamour girls, porn stars, legs, ass - etc.

Do you have any content you purchased? Give details of what it is and where you got it from.

Do you have any content that is yours ... exclusive to your site? If so, typically this helps the value of your site in a large way.

Write all these things down and have them ready when you approach potential buyers as they will be what defines the value of your domain name.

PageRank (PR) has been dropping for everyone lately. So if you have a PR 5 now, that is pretty decent. Did you ever have a PR 7 by any chance?
