    Would appreciate some advice

Hey guys I've been lurking around gfy for a while now, but I just now have something to post.

I've been working on a site for a while now. It's my second adult site. The first was an adult blogging site that I could never get to make any money. Right now, I make my living as a web programmer (hit me up if you need anything done)

I launched my site (prickr.com) about two weeks ago. It's an adult photo sharing site like Flickr. You can upload your photos, put them on your blog (with a link back to the site), tag them, comment, etc. There are also RSS feeds. Also, there's a ton more features in the works.

From a browser's prospective, they can view a limited number of photos each day (currently 20), then they have to sign up. As a member you can view more photos (currently 40), but not the whole library. You must be a premium member to have access to all the photos.

The site makes money through advertising and sign ups. If a user buys a premium account, they can view as many photos as they want with no advertising.

I got an initial bout of traffic from a reddit.com plug (over 3k uniques over a 3 day period) and I thought I could ride the wave into some nice steady traffic. I'd have been happy with a few hundred uniques a day, but since that plug, I've fallen to less than 100 - mostly from search engines. Since then, I've tried a few things - some of them have worked - some not; bought traffic from revisitors (scam), link exchanges (very little traffic yet), and advertising (decent traffic though expensive, and no sales yet).

The ads I've bought have been off the forums here or from digitalpoint and I'm thinking that the sites I chose weren't the right niche.

I *think* my SEO is solid. I'm #3 on yahoo for "adult photo sharing" and page 5 on google for the same. I've moved up 2 pages in the last week. That's a long term thing though and I'd like some proof of concept in the form of a few sales.

So, any suggestions? I'm confident that once the site hits its stride, it will do well. I'd have thought that after 5k+ uniques, I'd have more revenue than $3 from blacklabelads.

    ...am I just impatient?
