    Google Sandbox?

I know that this is just a theory because Google has never came out and acknowledged it, however, I have figured out what is happening to my sites with Google.

I've noticed that over time, say about 4 or 5 months, my keyword results start to dramatically improve to the point where I eventually get in to the top 10. For the longest time, I tried to capitalize on those results and I would immediately alter my page, changing up banners, adding html links, etc.. Within 48 hours.. guarenteed bump from top 10 to page 834759837459873498753784 for the same keywords.. and the whole process starts all over again. To test this theory, I took two of my sites that I never made any changes on and let them sit for about 4 months. The only updates happening on those two pages took place via an iframe gallery generator and a php toplist. Content would change daily, however, I never once recoded the index.php for anything. Then one day I made a few changes and once again... got kicked out of the top 10... this time for even longer and I'm still waiting for those good serps.

So.. why is it that you can have dynamic content changing via iframe and php, yet, when you make a change to the hard-coded html, you get penalized? Is this proving the google sandbox theory and what they consider spamming? Anyone else have this experience?

ive read somewhere that google reads your site and determines if its permenant or changing content.. if google thinks your site is permenant, changing your site would make google a bit confused and have to "rethink" your sites rank incase you dont deserver that rank anymore (your content may not be as good etc etc)

but if your sites changing, google is more laid back with your site and thinks of it as a real content generating site and pretty much knows you change your site often.

I dont know if thats true, but a buddy of mine tested it out with 3 of his sites and it pretty much happened to me so who knows... maybe your on to something here

Google loves fresh content!! the only thing you shouldn't do is changing your title and description that is what makes google confused.

I've got some killer placement for "nn teens" right now and don't want to lose it. However, the main static model pics are 4 months old now. I know if I change them though.. I'll lose that placement.

the only reason this would happen is that upon making changes, you messed up the delicate keyword balance of your page, or something that your placement was relying on.

as for confusing google, it should not have to rely on the content on your page to determine if your site is dynamic or static. You should have a sitemap submitted to google that tells SPECIFICALLY how often your content changes on each page.

there's a tool that will automatically spider your site and produce an XML sitemap, which you can then edit as you wish, and then submit to google.
