Newbie - Needs Advice

Hello all, name is Marq and Im seeking to get into this adult entertainment field. It appears the internet is the way to go, cheaper startup.

So far I sort of understand that I need to come up with:
Concepts for websites.
Get the content shot.
Get a website designed.
Get an affiliate program designed.

I guess I need to understand more about the affiliate programs and how they work, how would they benefit me and is an affiliate program the way to go straight out of the gate or should I wait until I have traffic and members established first?

I will await replies from this before proceeding with my next question, please any and all help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Why a blog, is a blog required or needed, I would think that would require a lot of updating just like the website, can someone explain to me to reason a blog would be needed?
