Would it be worth my time to make some software that would track clicks on a site?

With alot of talk about 'milking' , Ratios , 'shaving' would webmaster like a way to count clicks on there end to compare?

Is there already scripts out there that do this that I am not aware of yet?

wrong kind of counter. What I am talking about is a script that would count the number of times each link on a page has been clicked. for instance each picture in a tgp, or each banner that you have.

This way you could see if the sponsor is really tracking your clicks right or they are not.

Just a heads-up, your stats and their stats will never match up. Affiliate programs won't count clicks from certain geo regions or obvious bots. Plus they're probably skimming ;)

Thats an adserver, will do the job but is overkill for something so little as tracking the amount of clicks a link or picture ect ect.... gets...

Like someone already said there are plenty of these types of scripts avaliable already and I doubt many would be interested in more.

But why not do it for yourself.....
