if i was to set up just a standard promotional site with links to other sites and maybe a bit of content what kind of pay out could i expect lets say monthly? and also im new at this and to this site so please for the love of everything use simple terms.

Honestly, you will probably make $0 per month unless you have a marketing plan to generate traffic to your site.

How much traffic should you generate? Well it depends on how much money you want to make. Keep in mind that 99% of surfers looking for porn are looking for FREE porn. It takes a shit load of free porn before somebody will pay for porn. You do the math....If you get a million people to your site only 10,000 will pay a fee. By the way, that million has to be quality traffic (meaning people who actually want to visit and are not forced to your site by a script). Shit gets complicated, doesn't it!

I have to agree with tomwil. Tons of newbies out there have set up free sites that get tons of traffic but $0 in sales. Its all about finding the wright spot in the market instead of just copying everybody else. Think out a game plan before you start spending promo bucks!

If you want to make money with a site like that, you are probably going to need a LOT of content to keep the surfers happy and to make yourself any money at all.

Now, if you do have traffic or a plan to get some, one can earn a varied amount depending on experience, layout and so forth.

Having quality content along with the sites you promote will make a big difference. For example, you could use the Hosted galleries from CE Cash for the content, pay per sign up links (with free trials) for the upper links and then a free e-mail program like CE Mags to go down lower for the "free looking" traffic
