Up-Front Disclosure: I'm in the hosting business.

That said, Globat looks to be a poor choice if customer service and uptime are important to you:

            http://www.webhostingratings.com/pla...t-Reviews.html

Also, if you're aware of the price of bandwidth, it's difficult for them to allow everyone to actually use 30GB of transfer. On their annual plan that's $.25/Gig. I wouldn't be suprised if they cut you off if you were actually using that much. It wouldn't be a first for a hosting company to do something like that.

$.25/Gig is pretty unheard of even at wholesale.

I wouldn't host that for anything less then $15.

www.rackshack.net has dedicated servers for 99 bucks a month @ 400 gb / month. That's roughly $0.24 - $0.25 / gb, but you have the pleasure of administering the machine yourself, or paying somebody else to do it. Also I wouldn't rate their customer support as stellar.. you are mostly left to your own devices save for 24/7 reboots and other simple things.

Another disclosure: I've got dedicated servers on the NAC network -- http://www.nac.net/networkmap.asp -- for $99/month... and 500 GB bandwidth... which is under $.20/Gig.

My point was, and I don't think I got it across well-enough, is that it's unheard to get that sort of price for a virtual hosting account. Even at wholesale, like with a dedicated server, it's hard to find quality and reliability from a service provider at that price.

Need a server? Let me know: [email protected]
