    New Site - Need feedback

    I just put up a new site the other day venomgirls.com. I'm looking for some feedback. I'm a photographer and once upon a time webmaster but I've been out of the website biz for a few years. Any constructive feedback would be appreciated.

    Looking at it from an image point of view: How does the site look as an image? Looks great.

    Navigation is good.

    Superb photographs of the models. Beautiful models. All good.

    You have VENOM in large text as part of the HTML. That's good. Google will get that.

    Your title tags at the top of each page are pretty good. Minor suggestion: Make them a bit more specific and use fewer words whenever possible, like this:

    <title>Free NUDE pictures </title> for this page:
    http://venomgirls.com/gallery.htm

    Your text is grey on black and white on black, which looks great from a "How does this look as an image" point of view, but for actual reading it's not so good. Hard to read the text. Might want to use PhotoShop to create a gradient background (for example, 1 pixel wide 2000 pixels high) and then tweak so that it goes from white to gray to black and then put your text in a white to gray area and make your text black. Just a thought. One way to do a background image in HTML is like this:

    body {
    background-image: url(image/tour-background.jpg);
    }

    Awesome photography.

            Looks great, pics look good...but as mentioned, the text is a bit hard to read. Make the text stand out more.

            Other than that, definitely one of the better ones that I have seen. Good luck!

                  Thanks kesey... that's good stuff. I was wondering about that white text on black and I think I did that to keep things focused on the images but I do agree with you on the hard to read thing. I think I will play with some different backgrounds for the text area. I am reworking all those page titles also.

                      Cool, man. I'm glad to help.

                      When you start getting text links to your site, try to make the link text (referred to as anchor text) say exactly what the title tag on the destination page says.

                      So, if you're linking to a page with the <title> Nude Wet Glamour Pictures </title> make the link to that page say, Nude Wet Glamour Pictures. You should also have H1 heading text on that page that says Nude Wet Glamour Pictures, and you should have a picture on that page named nude-wet-glamour-picture.jpg. Google will then look at that page and say, "aha! there are nude wet glamour pictures on this page," and then, about six months after that realization, Google will actually start sending you traffic when someone types "nude wet glamour pictures." It's slow. But it works.

                      Good luck.

                            Very good models and photo, but design is not very good. It's too dark and text is too small. Where is logo?

                              Try to make a special promo to motivate affiliates pushing your sites more and attract new ones to sign up.

                              Top sponsors offer Chameleon traffic solution tools to their webmasters free of charge for example, so their guys don’t have to pay for it on their own when submitting galleries/freesites and sponsors enjoy their traffic in return.

                              Chameleon cuts a good deal on the licenses needed for giveaways and provides all related service regarding to this promotion to keep it working and successful.

                              If you would like your affiliate program to become a partner of Chameleon Team in a matter of above as well, feel free to hit me up.

                              Also, I havent noticed too much marketing tools in your affiliate's area. Maybe you should work on that end too.

                              Your sites are definitely worth some good incomes...

                                LOGO: I've been looking for LOGO ideas or someone to design a logo for awhile but since I'm currently doing this all on my own I just haven't had the time. Guess I should start an "I need a LOGO thread?"

                                AFFILIATE PROGRAM & MARKETING TOOLS: Back in the day they weren't as big as they are now the pay outs were low and they weren't one of the biggest sources of traffic as they are now. I need to get a handle on it and thanks for the input on that da man.

                                I used to do advertising photography in Vegas for 16 years and while I lived there I had a girlfriend who decided she wanted a website so I shot the content and partnered up with her on a site. It was very successful but then she got married had a kid and her husband decided they should do it on their own. So they bought me out for a substantial amount and proceeded to drive it into the ground in a period of one year.

                                I kept shooting girls because I like it and have had the bucks to be able to shoot the stuff I like. I hate studio stuff. I have a studio but don't use it. I travel around the country shooting girls nobody's ever seen and maybe never will. Since my release allows me to use the images on any site or publication I own, I figured I'd put up another site and see if anyone else likes what I like.

                                I haven't been on GFY for years and it's great to still be able get this feedback from GFY because I know my opinion will only be right maybe 50&#37; of the time. I appreciate it and intend to utilize it. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute something in return.

                                  Outstanding!

                                  Brother? that site is immaculate in its professional presentation. I absolutely love it.

                                  The black/grey/white has a nice clean tone ? and truly makes the shots pop. I?m always a fan of the magazine cover motif (and I actually really like the logo you?re using there, though that may be difficult to incorporate on the site template as you have it. You?d have to readjust/size some things to maintain it's impact, and as I can see you?re appreciatively particular in page presentation ? that might be difficult to compromise). Also like the somewhat unique layout to the tour strip at bottom. And the various inclusions of icons and symbols are smartly chosen and beautifully placed.

                                  The shots themselves? Phenomenal. The skin tone and shine you?re getting off those girls is remarkable. This is a photographer who understands sensuality, grace, and the essence of a commandingly beautiful girl. I have a hard time understanding why you even need to bother with web-creation when you can take shots like that. Your photo skills alone should be earning you a comfortable living.

                                  I understand why some others are recommending an alteration to the ?small print? color. But I disagree. What I see there is an affecting enough presentation to niche yourself right out of the ?Look at us!? sponsors. I?d stay true to your intentions there and count on the subscriber who appreciates the minimalism and does not need to be knocked over the head to read print that doesn?t want to steal the light from the art (photos). The magazine cover print tells the attitude just fine. And the grey print tells me it?s there if I want to know more. (It doesn?t need to beg for my attention.)

                                  I?d say, ultimately, you could steal a nice chunk of the market from Met-Art with your current approach (depending on how much catalogue you have, or how long it will take you to conjure it up).

                                  I?m new to the board, looking to re-enter the biz myself (tried some things several years ago, but my timing was horrendous. Currently doing the research necessary before I jump back in), so I can?t offer any credible advice in how to generate your traffic. But I would highly recommend you?re thoughtful with what affiliates you allow. I would definitely target a high-end market. With what you?ve got working for you there? You may very well be able to attract credible and established high-traffic sites that appreciate your artistry. Furthermore, I would think any TGP out there would die to have some galleries from you gracing their site. A site as attractive as yours ought to earn immediate respect when it comes to referrals.

                                  Simply put, a surfer (casual or professional) will NOT forget a visit to that page. You can afford to be particular. In my mind.

                                  Spectacular job, mate. Best of luck (I?ll be checking it out from time to time).

Best of luck (I?ll be checking it out from time to time).

                                      .

                                        Noob alert

                                        Fantastic...

                                        My initial attempt on that post stalled out - so I backed out of it and ended up going triplicate. I then took over the allowed 3min trying to find the actual delete option under Edit/Delete... so I'm unable to clean it up myself.

                                        Any admin wanna help out the noob and clean up my mess?

                                        Thanks
